The holiday programme I attended was very cool. I went with Tioti and Moapa and her little sister, Sharon in the office went too. My favourite days were Wednesday the 3 and Friday the 5.
On Wednesday 3rd October we went to bowling near Royal Road. We went in and sat down waiting for Sharon and the other leaders to pay for all of us. After like 20 minutes we stood up to get ready to play bowling. First we had to write our names on our group machines. This is so that other people will know it is there turn. Afterwards, we went to the cinemas for our own entertainment, we watched a movie called Madagascar 3 It was funny.
On Friday the 5th October there was another trip. We went to Franklin Riding school to ride horses. Before we even rode a horse we needed to get comfortable with riding a horse so that we wouldn’t be frightened. We had to pat the horse and, clean all the dirt off it. After all of that we learnt how to turn the horse left and right, we also learnt how to slow it down and make it go faster. Soon we went out to this big field but instead of grass it was white clean sand, we rode the horses around it because we needed to get used to it . It was cool for me because i know now how kind horses are and how they can trust the kids. At the end we had to go back to go back to Dunkirk centre in Panmure. We went in 2 vans one was blue and one was a Jeep it was red. We went in our bus all the way back to Panmure where we belong.
It was a cool time at the holiday programme, we go there every holidays and I can't wait for the next one.

Whanau Day

Yesterday on the 26 September our school had a garden day. The students showed the community what we have been learning throughout the term. We are also getting ready to plant our Mara Kai garden full of vegetables. It was an excellent day!

- To be sustainable at home i need to put my rubbish in the bin, clean after my mess, always check if rubbish is not lying around.

Loud Shirt Day
Today is 'Loud Shirt' Day. This day is about supporting deaf kids. All the money will go to the deaf society so that technology can be provided to help kids hear better.We think that this is an important charity as the money will help kids like Charday in our class who is partially deaf.
